Mexican Nachos from Mexican Restaurants are the Yummiest Combos Ever

Smothered in melted cheese and prepared with incredible ingredients like guacamole, chili con carne, sour cream and more, nachos are one of the most popular snacks or appetizers known around the world. From Boston on the east coast to a fine Mexican restaurant, you cannot go wrong when ordering up a plate of these.
The beauty of the nacho appetizer is in its combo versatility. So many delicious foods can be combined and layered on a plate of steaming nachos. It's a definite crowd pleaser, and that's probably why Mexican nachos are one of the best foods you find at SuperBowl parties and sports stadiums.

The nacho first received attention in 1943, when a restaurant in northern Mexico had closed for the day. A group of US military wives had been shopping at Piedra Negras just over the border from Fort Duncan, Texas. The maitre d'hotel, Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya, did not want to turn the ladies away and quickly came up with a snack of what he had left in the kitchen- cheese, fried tortilla triangles and jalapeno peppers.

After that, the rest was history. Nachos began appearing in many Mexican food venues, and the toppings and combination ideas exploded. The Mexican nacho had been born, and thank goodness for Mr. Anaya and his brilliant, creative thinking.

A popular Visalia, California Mexican establishment will feature mouth-watering nacho layers as Nachos with Carne Asada, Nachos with Chile Verde, Nachos with Chicken, Nachos with Beef and others.

Ingredients that enhance nacho apps often include lettuce, onion, peppers, pickles, re-fried, pinto or black beans, bacon, tomatoes, olives, etc. There are endless combinations. It's almost impossible to ruin a nachos appetizer.

It's easy to get into nacho heaven.
